Our Smart Protocol feature, which is enabled by default, automatically picks the best VPN protocol for your needs. If you prefer to manually select the VPN protocol, WireGuard is fast and highly secure. OpenVPN is still considered the benchmark for strong VPN security and can be run in TCP mode for greater resistance to censorship measures. Although not as fast as WireGuard, IKEv2 remains a secure protocol that is supported on a wide range of devices (such as routers).
